Air China Resumes Chengdu – London Service in NS23

Star Alliance member Air China in Northern summer 2023 season plans to resume Chengdu – London Heathrow route, scheduled 3 times weekly, identical to pre-pandemic operations. Upon service resumption on 30MAR23, Air China will operate this flight to/from Chengdu Tianfu, as it moves all international flights to the new airport, replacing Chengdu Shuangliu.

Airbus A330-300 aircraft operates this route.

Following schedule is effective from 23MAY23.

As of 17MAR23, Air China’s UK operation for Northern summer 2023 season includes the following:
Beijing Capital – London Gatwick eff 01APR23 4 weekly A330-300 (1 daily from 17APR23. Reservation available from 01APR23 onwards. This route was reported yesterday on AeroRoutes)
Beijing Capital – London Heathrow 1 weekly 777-300ER (tentatively scheduled 1 daily from 02MAY23)
Chengdu Tianfu – London Heathrow eff 30MAR23 3 weekly A330-300
Shanghai Pu Dong – London Heathrow 1 weekly A350-900XWB
Shenzhen – London Heathrow eff 26MAR23 5 weekly A330-300 (Shenzhen Airlines operating service)
