American Airlines in February 2024 plans to add service to Tijuana in Mexico, where the airline schedules 1 daily service with Skywest Embraer E175 aircraft. Phoenix – Tijuana service inaugural is scheduled on 15FEB24.

Between May 1998 and October 1999, American offered service to Tijuana through codeshare partnership with AeroCalifornia.
