Air China Resumes Nonstop 747-8I New York Flights in 1Q24

Star Alliance member Air China in the first quarter of 2024 plans to resume Boeing 747-8I aircraft operations to New York JFK, reflected in the reservation system on Tuesday 28NOV23. The 747-8I will operate 3 weekly Beijing Capital – New York JFK flights, replacing 777-300ER, from 01JAN24.

Service from New York JFK will once again be served on nonstop basis, eliminating 1-stop flight via Los Angeles. Note the planned blocked time on the nonstop sector stands at 17hrs 10mins, becoming the longest route operated by the 747-8I on scheduled basis, in terms of nonstop blocked time.

Current longest nonstop blocked time by the 747-8I aircraft is operated by Korean Air from Atlanta to Seoul Incheon at 15hrs 55mins, New York JFK to Seoul Incheon at 15hrs 30-45mins.
