Etihad Retires Flight Number 1 in late-March 2024

Etihad Airways in recent weeks filed flight number changes to Germany, Greece and Singapore, scheduled to commence from 01APR24 (31MAR24 for Singapore and June 2024 for seasonal service to some Greek destinations).

The flight number change will see the retirement of flight number 1, used on Abu Dhabi – Frankfurt route since service launch in October 2007. Planned flight number changes as follows.

Abu Dhabi – Dusseldorf EY039/040 > EY133/134 (Service not offered during summer season)
Abu Dhabi – Frankfurt EY001/002 > EY121/122, EY007/008 > EY123/124
Abu Dhabi – Munich EY005/006 > EY125/126, EY003/004 > EY127/128
Abu Dhabi – Mykonos – Athens – Abu Dhabi EY175 > EY185
Abu Dhabi – Singapore EY470/471 > EY496/497
Abu Dhabi – Thira – Athens – Abu Dhabi EY177 > EY183

Other notable flight number adjustments include:
Abu Dhabi – Barcelona Additional 3 weekly service from 24MAR24 operates with EY100-199 flight number range, instead of the usual EY001-099
Abu Dhabi – Cairo Additional 3 weekly service from 15JUN24 operates with EY700-799 flight number range, instead of 600-699
