China Airlines Resumes Taipei – Seattle Service From July 2024

China Airlines on Tuesday morning local time (12MAR24; Taiwan) announced passenger service resumption on Taipei Taoyuan – Seattle route, as the airline becomes the 3rd carrier to offer service on this route. From 14JUL24, Airbus A350-900XWB aircraft will operate this route 5 times weekly on year-round basis, although service on/after 27OCT24 is subject to government approval.

The Skyteam member last served Seattle between April 2004 and August 2008, which also uses flight number CI022/021 (Taipei Taoyuan – Seattle – Houston was CI016/015). With China Airlines opened reservations on this route, in addition to Starlux Airlines' planned 3 weekly flights (JX022/021) at earliest from 16AUG24, 4 airlines to serve this route with up to 25 weekly flights by second half of August 2024 (22 from 09SEP24).
