Air China Schedules Saudi Arabia Launch in May 2024

Air China on Thursday (28MAR24) becomes the latest Chinese carrier to launch service to Saudi Arabia, as the Star Alliance carrier opens reservation for Beijing Capital – Riyadh route. From 06MAY24, Airbus A330-300 aircraft will operate this route three times weekly.

Air China is the third Chinese carrier to launch service to Saudi Arabia during Northern summer 2024 season. As of 28MAR24, Chinese carriers' planned Saudi Arabia service launch includes:

Air China
Beijing Capital – Riyadh 3 weekly A330-300 from 06MAY24

China Eastern
Shanghai Pu Dong – Riyadh 3 weekly A330-200 from 15APR24

China Southern
Beijing Daxing – Riyadh 2 weekly A330-300 from 16APR24
Shenzhen – Riyadh 2 weekly A330-300 from 03JUN24

Jeddah – Guangzhou

China's CAAC in the fourth quarter of 2023 also awarded following traffic rights to Saudi Arabia:
