China Southern from May 2024 plans to launch new service to Mexico, where the airline schedules Shenzhen – Mexico City – Tijuana – Shenzhen route. The Shenzhen – Mexico City nonstop sector will be the longest international route from China, at 8789 mi / 14062 km, with 16hrs blocked time.

From 11MAY24, this route will be served twice weekly with 2-class 334-seater Airbus A350-900XWB aircraft.
