Etihad Suspends Shanghai Service Since late-April 2025

Etihad since late-April 2025 suspended service on Abu Dhabi – Shanghai Pu Dong route, coinciding with the launch of joint venture with China Eastern, which the latter launched this route on 28APR25. The airline first filed service suspension during the week of 07APR25’s schedule update, which saw the last flight scheduled on 27APR25. Etihad operates 4 weekly flights prior to service suspension.

Based on the inventory listing as of 1330GMT 06MAY25, Etihad has removed all flights at least until mid-August, which has been reflected during the week of 28APR25’s schedule update. Initially this flight was removed for 4-week period, subsequently extended to late-June during the week of 21APR25 schedule update.
Etihad’s joint venture partner China Eastern on 28APR25 launched 4 weekly flights, scheduled to increase to daily from 12SEP25.
