Icelandair Discontinues Detroit Service in early-Jan 2026

Icelandair in last week’s schedule update filed changes to Reykjavík Keflavík – Detroit route. Initially scheduled to suspend from 04JAN26 to 19MAR26 in the first quarter of 2026, the airline has removed planned service resumption from 20MAR26.

Last flight is now scheduled on 03JAN26, with 3 weekly 737 MAX 8 service planned for the first part of winter season.

Icelandair previously planned to resume this route from 20MAR26 with 4 weekly flights, increasing to 5 weekly from 14JUN26.
