Norwegian Schedules Regular Boeing 737 MAX Svalbard Service in NW25

Norwegian during Northern winter 2025/26 season plans operational aircraft changes to Svalbard, as the airline schedules Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft on regular scheduled basis for Oslo – Tromsø – Longyearbyen route. The scheduling of regular 737 MAX service sees this route become the world’s northernmost 737 MAX regular scheduled service during Northern winter 2025/26 season.
From 29OCT25, 737 MAX 8 is scheduled on 1 of 4 weekly service, operating on Wednesdays.

From 12JAN26 to 28MAR26, 737 MAX 8 also operates on Day 1, while service on Friday 20FEB26 will also see 737 MAX operating.
The Northernmost 737 MAX 8 route scheduled on regular basis in Northern summer 2025 season is Alaska Airlines’ Anchorage – Utqiaġvik (Barrow) route, previously reported on AeroRoutes on 13MAR25 (schedules listed in the post has since seen various revision, and Utqiaġvik (Barrow) will see one-time 737 MAX 8 service on 14DEC25 for winter season only). Prudhoe Bay/Deadhorse will maintain the title of the second Northernmost 737 MAX destination at least until 06JAN26, with both regular and charter flights operated by Alaska Airlines 737 MAX 9.
