American Airlines earlier this month announced expanded service during FIFA World Cup 2026, which it’ll introduce additional service or aircraft upgauge on 12 routes.
Atlanta – Kansas City A321 operates from Atlanta on 08JUL26 and 09JUL26, from Kansas City on 12JUL26 and 13JUL26
Dallas/Ft. Worth – Boston
* Extra flights from Dallas on 18JUN26 and 19JUN26, increase from 8 to 12 daily with a mix of A321/737-800/737 MAX 8
* Extra flights from Boston on 18JUN26 and 19JUN26, increase from 8 to 11 and 13 daily respectively
Dallas/Ft. Worth – San Jose CA Increase from 3 to 6 daily on following dates: 17-18JUN26, 23-24JUN26, 26-27JUN26. 737-800/MAX 8 operating
Los Angeles – Seattle A321 replaces CRJ700 on selected flights during following periods: 13JUN26 - 23JUN26, 06JUL26 – 08JUL26
Los Angeles – Vancouver Increase from 1 to 2 daily on following dates, additional flight by A321: 16JUN26 – 17JUN26, 19JUN26 – 20JUN26, 22JUN26 – 23JUN26, 25JUN26 – 26JUN26
Miami – Atlanta Increase from 5 to 7 daily on following dates: 16JUN26, 17JUN26, 12JUL26 (8 daily), 13JUL26 (8 daily), 16JUL26, 17JUL26
Miami – Toronto 737-800 replace A319 on 28JUN26, 29JUN26
New York LaGuardia – Atlanta 16JUL26 – 17JUL26 Increase from 6 to 8 daily. 3 of 8 daily operated by 737-800/MAX 8, instead of Embraer E170/175
New York LaGuardia – Kansas City 737-800 operates on 21JUN26 and 22JUN26
Philadelphia – Atlanta 20JUN26 / 21JUN26 Increase from 6 to 8 daily, 6 of 8 daily operated by A319/320, instead of CRJ900/Embraer E175
