Air Canada Schedules Vancouver – Sapporo Launch in Dec 2026

Air Canada today (21JAN26) announced new seasonal route launch to Japan, becoming the first North American carrier to offer regular scheduled service to Hokkaido. From 17DEC26, the airline will operate Vancouver – Sapporo New Chitose route 3 times weekly, with 787-8.

Japanese carrier Harlequin Air (ハーレクィンエア), a subsidiary of former Japan Air System, previously operated Vancouver charter service in late-1990s, which would include Sapporo departures.
