United Accelerates Island Hopper all-737 MAX Service to early-4Q26

United during the weekend of 04JUN26’s schedule update filed additional changes to Guam-based fleet transition from Boeing 737-800 to MAX 8. The Star Alliance member’s Micronesia Island Hopper service for The FSM (Federated States of Micronesia) and Marshall Islands, plus Palau and Saipan will now be transitioned to all-MAX 8 operation by early-October 2026 at the latest, instead of December 2026.

Planned all-MAX 8 operations for following routes, as of 04JUN26, as follows.

Guam – Chuuk – Pohnpei – Kosrae – Kwajalein – Majuro – Honolulu eff 01OCT26 2 weekly
Guam – Chuuk – Pohnpei – Kwajalein – Majuro – Honolulu

Guam – Chuuk – Pohnpei – Majuro – Honolulu eff 03OCT26 1 weekly
Guam – Koror

Routes listed above are currently operated by either 737-800 or MAX 8, although aircraft code lists 737-800 (738).

Following routes continue to see all-MAX 8 operation by December, instead of -800/MAX 8.
