Air China Removes Boeing 747 Domestic Service Oct – Dec 2026

Air China in recent weeks filed schedule update for domestic routes, which saw the removal of Boeing 747-400 and 747-8I operations in the first half of Northern winter 2026/27 season.

Beijing Capital – Shanghai Hongqiao
* 25OCT26 – 31DEC26 747-8I service removed (Published schedule lists the 747-8I last operated this route on 07OCT26)
* 25OCT26 – 20JAN27 747-400 service removed

Beijing Capital – Shenzhen 25OCT26 – 31DEC26 747-400 service removed

Despite the removal of schedules filing, the -400/-8I may be operated on selected domestic routes on certain dates. Further changes to the schedule filing remain highly possible.

The Star Alliance member continues to operate 747-8I aircraft on following international routes during Northern winter 2026/27 season:
Beijing Capital – Frankfurt 3 weekly (1 weekly 25OCT26 – 08NOV26)
Beijing Capital – New York JFK 5 weekly
Beijing Capital – Washington Dulles 2 weekly
