Air New Zealand in the last few weeks gradually filed service changes on Trans-Tasman routes for Northern winter 2026/27 season for the period of 25OCT26 – 28MAR27. Based on schedule filing in the OAG, comparing 14JUN26 vs 30AUG26, planned adjustment includes the following. All figures below are based on one-way from New Zealand.
Auckland – Adelaide 110 flights, capacity increase from 19816 to 20061 seats
Auckland – Brisbane Reduce from 485 to 478 flights, capacity increase from 112210 to 114837 seats
Auckland – Coolangatta (Gold Coast) Increase from 200 to 202 flights, capacity increase from 42555 to 42885 seats
Auckland – Melbourne Reduce from 722 to 699 flights, capacity reduce from 175178 to 169462 seats
Auckland – Perth 195 flights, increase from 64086 to 64112 seats
Auckland – Sydney Reduce from 773 to 772 flights, capacity increase from 185605 to 188050 seats (Service to Western Sydney is 66 flights with 11821 seats)
Christchurch – Brisbane 154 flights, capacity reduce from 30898 to 27811 seats
Christchurch – Sydney Increase from 161 to 168 flights, capacity increase from 27839 to 27867 seats
Queenstown – Sydney Increase from 157 to 164 flights, capacity increase from 25905 to 27060 seats
Wellington – Brisbane 154 flights, capacity reduce from 30163 to 28203 seats
