Qantas in late-June 2026 announced capacity increases on Trans-Tasman routes for Northern winter 2026/27 season. Based on schedule filing in the OAG, comparing 14JUN26 vs 30AUG26, planned capacity adjustment on one-way basis from Australia for the period of 25OCT26 – 28MAR27 includes the following.
Adelaide – Auckland Increase from 86 to 91 flights, capacity increase from 14448 to 15288 seats
Brisbane – Auckland Reduce from 393 to 387 flights, capacity increase from 66024 to 67162 seats
Brisbane – Queenstown Increase from 99 to 108 flights, capacity increase from 16632 to 18144 seats
Melbourne – Auckland Increase from 659 to 663 flights, capacity increase from 110712 to 111384 seats
Melbourne – Queenstown Increase from 101 to 125 flights, capacity increases from 16968 to 21000 seats
Sydney – Auckland Increase from 878 to 905 flights, capacity increases from 155246 to 171552 seats
